We lose presence when attention gets absorbed into the mind.

Understanding the mind, just enough to see it instead of becoming it. 4 levels:
Mind/Manas: Reaction to sensations.
Intellect/Buddhi: Analyzing and making judgments.
Identity/Ahamkara: The sense of “me” who is having an experience.
Intuition/Citta:

Pointers. Three elements.
Awareness:
Come back to space, widen, expand. Empty. Relaxed. At ease. Effortless.

Aliveness:
Feel the whole body. Feel the space around the whole body. Let life move on, don’t freeze on any one thing. Dance. Feel it all.

Love:
Allow. Allow. Allow. Simple. Allow. Include whatever is here now.

Insights
Presence is our natural state. “Self”. Always here, underneath whatever seems not to be present.
Presence has no judgment, need, identity, direction, nor time.
Presence includes everything. Including mind and body. No division, no separation.
Presence could be described as: Awareness, Aliveness, and Love.
Awareness: What perceives. Spaciousness. Allowing what is here.
Aliveness: What is perceived. Energy. Movement. Body and Mind. Desire to live.
Love: What attracts. Surrendering me for us.

”Non-presence” is the experience of our personal selves.
Personal self is the result of unresolved stress.
Unresolved stress appears when a stress-response is not allowed to complete.
A personal self consists of an identity, core belief, illusion of consistency, tension in the body,

Process

Begin wherever. Follow the moment.
Desire and aversion are doorways to go deeper.
Desire: What do you want, deeply, right now? Longing. Wishes. Calling….
Aversion: What are you not wanting, deeply, right now? Judgment. Dislikes. Problems…
If no momentum, connect deeper with desire and aversion.
Don’t try to go deeper, be together with: Compassion, not progress.
